Headquartered in Birmingham, AL, our field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

Responsibilities: The Senior Accounts Payable Associate will report to the Accounts Payable Supervisor and perform accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. Special focus will be placed on: Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoicesCharges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices/expense reports and recording entries. Accurate coding is critical to the positionPays vendors by verifying federal id numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, and contract invoices, or payment discrepancies and documentationEnsures credit is received for outstanding memos.Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactionsUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunitiesPrepares and performs check runsProvides supporting documentation for audits Qualifications: POSITION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma required; Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance or related major is a plus 3-5 years of work experience in accounts payable Working knowledge of general accounting procedures Proficiency in relevant accounting software and in MS Office (i.e., Excel, Word, etc.) Excellent data entry and data management skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Must be able to prioritize, have a sense of urgency and the ability to meet deadlines Good judgement, professional integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality Strong verbal, listening and written communication skills Strong problem analysis and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
