RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Preowned Sales Manager assists the Sales Director in organizing, executing, planning, and controlling the activities of the Used Sales Department to meet performance standards including gross profit, volume targets, and customer satisfaction metrics. Key duties include:
- Developing relationships by working directly with staff and customers.
- Hiring, training, motivating, counseling, and developing sales management personnel.
- Conducting regular staff meetings to review operations.
- Developing future managers through job growth opportunities.
- Ensuring lot control.
- Updating the website with current specials and pricing compliance.
- Reviewing and controlling departmental expenses.
- Supporting advertising campaigns and promotions.
- Contributing to manager meetings.
- Keeping abreast of current market trends and vehicle valuations.
- Motivating and training sales professionals through sales meetings.
- Adhering to high ethical standards while achieving profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Leading the used car sales team to surpass sales targets.
- Optimizing inventory, pricing strategies, and merchandising.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Collaborating with other departments for overall business success.
- Building customer rapport to establish a network of referrals.
