Location: Encore at Eastmark Homeowners Association Café (Private, Not Open to the Public)

Work Days: Tuesday – Saturday (Includes Evening Shift on Thursday Nights as Bar Back)

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Cafe Lead to oversee the daily operations of our private homeowners association café. This role will involve managing café staff, assisting with inventory, ensuring excellent service for residents, and helping maintain a welcoming atmosphere in the café. The successful candidate will also assist with bar back duties on Thursday evenings to support our café’s small bar service.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Act as the primary point of contact for residents, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• aintain a friendly, welcoming environment for all residents, ensuring they receive exceptional service.

Operations & Administration:

• Support daily café operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and managing staff schedules.
• Assist with ordering supplies, maintaining inventory levels, and tracking stock.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and functioning.

Food Preparation & Quality Control:

• Assist with food preparation, including assembling menu items and maintaining consistency in quality.
• Ensure food safety standards are followed and prepared in a clean, organized environment.
• Oversee food presentation, ensuring all items meet café quality standards.

Bar Back Support:

• On Thursday evenings, assist with bar back duties, including restocking, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the bartender during service.

Special Events & Community Engagement:

• Support special events or activities hosted within the homeowner’s association that may involve the café.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and ensure the café contributes to a community-focused atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in café, restaurant, or hospitality service preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques, including food safety and sanitation standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Availability to work Tuesday through Saturday, including an evening shift on Thursday nights.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift to 30 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
