Summary :

Our company in Madison, WI is looking for a dedicated and organized Catering Kitchen Steward to join their culinary team and help support their mission through excellent food service. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services.

Schedule : Tuesday – Thursday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Pay : $18.00/hour

Responsibilities :

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
• Assist in food preparation and presentation for catering events, following established recipes and portion control guidelines.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff in daily operations, ensuring timely setup and breakdown of catering services.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in the ordering supplies as needed.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in kitchen or catering environment is a plus, but not required
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
• Basic knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
• Ability to push/lift 50 lbs. and to be on feet 80%
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
