As a Chief of Staff, reporting to IBM’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives, improving operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within the marketing organization. This highly visible and collaborative role is crucial to the overall success of the Marketing organization.

Some of your responsibilities may include:

Strategic Planning & Operations

· Collaborate with the CMO to develop and implement marketing strategy, aligning with business objectives and company goals

· Conduct market research and analysis to inform marketing decisions and optimize campaign performance

· Ensure seamless day-to-day operations of marketing campaigns and team, including budgeting, resource allocation, and project coordination

Innovation and Optimization

· Identify areas for innovation and process improvement within the marketing organization

· Develop and implement initiatives to drive innovation, including pilot programs and proof-of-concept projects

· Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement within the marketing team

Communication and Collaboration

· Serve as a liaison between the CMO and other departments, ensuring clear communication and alignment on marketing initiatives

· Develop and maintain relationships with key external partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders, including cross-functional teams and senior leadership

· Design, create, and deploy content that engages, informs, and inspires IBMers and stakeholders to focus their efforts in support of the shared business goals

Performance Management

· Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure marketing effectiveness

· Analyze data and market trends to inform marketing decisions and optimize campaign performance

· Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address gaps in performance
