Our client is a steel distributor and service center with a local presence and global reach catering to companies across the clients in the oil and gas, construction, mining, and machinery industries. Their Houston facility has been in operation for over 20 years.

 

Job Summary

Their Houston location is seeking an administrative assistant to assist in joining their team. This is a contract-to-hire position, the ideal candidate will start off as an administrative assistant and transition into a sales assistant. 

 

Job Description

• Data entry and accuracy
• Coordinates communication between internal teams through email and phone calls 
• Assists with documentation and processes of incoming orders
• Schedules meetings 
• Supports continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Scanning/filing documents
• Assists operations and sales team with administrative tasks. 
  

 

Skills Required

• 3+ years of experience as an administrative or sales assistant
• Experience working for a manufacturing/light industrial company highly preferred
• Microsoft Office Experience required
• Data entry experience
  

 

Education/Training/Certifications

• High School Diploma or GED required

 

Additional Requirements

• Full time in office
• Shift Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

 

Pay Rate/Salary

• $18.00 - $22.00/hr. based on experience
