Job Description

Tesco Staffing in Bangor, ME is looking for one day porter to join our strong team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and reliable.

Pay- $17/hour

Shifts- 7am to 3:30pm (M-F)

8am to 4:30pm (M-F)

8am to 4:30pm (4days between M-F) & 11am to 3pm (Sat. & Sun)

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, including lobbies, corridors, and waiting rooms.
• Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors and carpets.
• Empty trash and wastebaskets, and dispose of waste according to hospital procedures.
• Transport patients, supplies, and equipment within the hospital, as needed.
• Assist with patient transfers and discharges.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic cleaning and maintenance skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift heavy objects for extended periods of time.
