Job Description

Position summary: Event Staffs encompass the guest services providers of the venue ushers, greeters and ticket takers.

Role qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Position responsibilities: 

• Greet attendees upon arrival with a warm welcome and with directions and event programs. 
• Distribute event materials such as programs, brochures, and other promotional material. 
• Escort attendees to assigned seat, ensuring compliance with seating arrangements. 
• Verify the authenticity of tickets, using electronic ticketing devices in some events.
• Monitor areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and emergency procedures.
• Monitor entry points to ensure compliance with event policies and safety regulations. 
• Communicate with security personnel to address any issues or concerns. 

Essential skills and experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. The following are additional essential elements of the position: Work weekends & holidays on a flexible schedule.

The employee is required to stand and walk for extended periods over all terrain including stairs, gravel and uneven terrain. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to assist guests and employees in an emergency.
• Work Environment : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently inside the arena environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
