Job Description

Credit Key is the leading provider of flexible payments for B2B transactions. Credit Key empowers businesses to offer their customers greater access to capital with flexible payment terms.

About the Engineering team:

We’re a small and growing team of seasoned developers. We move fast, solve problems, and always deliver ultimate value to the business. Even as a startup, we prioritize developer health and happiness. No endless crunch times, no death marches, and minimal after hours work. We plan, prioritize, work smart and stay laser focused on getting the right things done. We’re constantly breaking new technological ground, and always shoring up the existing platform that got us this far.

You’d be a core part of building our culture, making architecture decisions about whole new systems, and of course building lots of new features. You'll contribute to and review user stories, requirements, and design documents and ship great code.

The ideal candidate:

Do you constantly ride that line between “good enough for now” and “always leave the code better than you found it?” Do you get excited by shiny new tech, but always buckle down and use the right tool for the job at hand? Do you dislike the code you wrote more than six months ago but enjoy the thought of making it better next time? Are you just as happy fine-tuning UIs as you are working on Restful APIs? Can you converse with business owners and translate complex business requirements into maintainable code? Then read on!

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience with a mix of frontend and backend development
  • Experience with Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS or similar languages & frameworks
  • Strong programming skills in more than one language

  • Strong SQL proficiency
  • Excellent instincts on the design & maintenance of RESTful APIs
  • Can create and maintain modular, reusable, frontend code

Nice Extras:

  • Expertise with modern CSS frameworks and best practices

  • Comfortable working with Docker

  • Produced code for any security-conscious industry (e.g. Fintech)

  • Experience deploying scalable services in AWS via ECS & RDS

  • Familiarity with one or more of the following e-commerce platforms: Magento, Shopify, Big Commerce, NetSuite, WooCommerce

Benefits

Why you want to work with us:

  • Competitive Compensation Package with equity and paid time off
  • Great Healthcare Benefits
  • 401k Match
  • 100% Remote. Flexible Work Schedule & Location
  • Supportive, low ego, highly collaborative team environment
