Are you a passionate leader dedicated to driving success through positive coaching and development? We're looking for an experienced General Manager to oversee our dynamic automotive dealership. In this role, you'll be instrumental in steering the dealership towards profitability by managing various departments, including sales, service, and parts. You'll work closely with the business office to ensure smooth operations and uphold the highest standards of service and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Engage in the recruitment and hiring process for all positions.
Conduct performance reviews and coaching sessions to support team development.
Set short and long-term goals for departments, including sales, service, and parts.
Foster a positive and motivating work environment through effective leadership.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee daily operations and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
Collaborate with departmental coaches to review progress and address performance metrics.
Ensure compliance with company policies, financial guidelines, and industry regulations.
Financial Management:
Prepare and submit annual and monthly forecasts.
Contribute to the completion of accurate monthly financial statements.
Manage budgets and forecasts to achieve financial goals.
Communication & Relationship Building:
Maintain strong relationships with lenders, manufacturers, and vendors.
Communicate effectively with employees and customers, addressing concerns in a timely manner.
Coordinate with the Divisional Vice President and Human Resource Vice President to resolve issues and improve operations.
Requirements:
Proven experience in automotive sales and management.
Strong closing skills and a commitment to ethical practices.
Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
At least 3 years of experience in automotive management.
Ability to interpret financial statements and manufacturer objectives.
Proficient in fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Up-to-date knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations affecting dealership operations.
A positive, uplifting demeanor with a focus on personal accountability and professional appearance.
