Position : Head of Finance
Location : Remote (Portland, OR preferred)
About the Role: We are seeking a highly strategic and hands-on Director of Finance to develop and scale our
finance function at Drug Hunter. As our first dedicated finance hire, you'll play a critical role in
establishing the infrastructure, metrics, and processes that will drive operational excellence and
support our rapid growth. Reporting to the CEO, this position will serve as a key partner across
the organization, enabling data-driven decisions while ensuring financial health and
transparency.
Responsibilities: Finance Infrastructure and Operations: • Establish scalable financial systems, policies, controls, tools, reporting systems, and
processes to support the business, ensuring efficiency and data accuracy.
• Oversee the FP&A function, including building and maintaining detailed financial models,
revenue & cash forecasts, and budgets.
• Manage relationships with external consultants supporting accounting, FP&A, and
financing activities.
Fundraising & Investor Relations • Lead finance efforts required to support financial transitions, which may include debt
financing, private equity investment, strategic partnerships, and M&A.
• Prepare and present financial updates, forecasts, and reports to executive leadership
and external stakeholders, articulating the company's growth trajectory and strategic
vision.
• Prepare financial presentations, pitch decks, and data rooms for investors and lenders.
• Negotiate terms with investors, financial institutions, and strategic partners.
SaaS Growth Metrics and KPIs: • Define, monitor, and report on critical SaaS metrics (NRR, ARR, LTV, CAC, etc.) and
develop actionable insights for leadership.
• Implement processes to track and optimize key operational metrics, such as cash burn,
gross margin, and expense-to-revenue ratios.
Strategic Business Partnering:
• Collaborate closely with department leaders to align financial plans with strategic goals
and growth initiatives.
• Provide financial insights to support cross-functional projects, such as commission and
quota planning, product development, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans.
Experience and Qualifications: • 8+ years of experience in finance, with a focus on FP&A, operational planning, and
strategic decision-making.
• Proven experience in corporate transactions, including M&A and fundraising, with a track
record of managing successful deals.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and building scalable financial systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex financial data into
actionable insights for diverse audiences.
• Hands-on experience with SaaS metrics and subscription-based business models is
highly preferred.
