INVESTMENT FUNDS ASSOCIATE
Location: New York, NY or Washington, D.C.

Our client, a prominent AmLaw 50 international firm, is seeking a highly-qualified and motivated Associate to join their Investment Funds practice group. This role is open to candidates in New York, NY or Washington, D.C ., and focuses on handling complex matters related to the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act.

Candidate Profile:

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• Bar Admission in New York or Washington, D.C., as applicable.
• 4+ years of experience in Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act matters.
• Experience supporting closed-end funds , such as tender offer funds, interval funds, and business development companies, is essential.
• Experience supporting open-end funds and/or ETFs is a plus .
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on matters related to the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act.
• Provide support for a variety of closed-end funds, including drafting and negotiating key fund documents.
• Work closely with a collaborative team to deliver exceptional legal solutions for clients.
• Handle matters involving open-end funds and ETFs, contributing to the firm's comprehensive investment funds practice.
