Job Description
We are looking for dedicated, licensed behavioral health clinicians (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) to provide community-based therapy to both adult and pediatric clients. This is a fully remote, part-time position with evening and/or weekend hours based on your availability, with a focus on helping individuals and families thrive.
As a Licensed Counselor, you will conduct remote therapy sessions, perform diagnostic evaluations, collaborate on care plans with clients and their families, and offer individual, family, or group therapy as needed. You will play a crucial role in care coordination and will document all clinical interventions in compliance with state and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical:
Conduct behavioral health evaluations and provide individual, group, and family therapy for children and adults in an outpatient setting.
Collaborate with providers both within and outside the organization to discuss treatment plans and client progress.
Coordinate with psychiatric consultants as needed for diagnostic support and medication management.
Attend clinical team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding client care.
Maintain productivity standards with a focus on delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
Foster a safe and supportive environment, encouraging clients to share their feelings and develop insights into their emotions and relationships.
Perform crisis interventions and assess for safety concerns, including risk of self-harm, homicide, or domestic violence.
Guide clients in developing coping skills and strategies for overcoming challenges and achieving personal goals.
Create and update treatment plans based on clinical knowledge, ensuring they meet state and regulatory standards.
Evaluate client progress and adjust treatment approaches to reflect changes in their needs and status.
Support family members in understanding how to best assist clients in their journey toward wellness.
Stay informed on new developments in the field of behavioral health and apply best practices in client care.
Identify community mental health resources to enhance therapy and support client well-being.
Administrative:
Complete required documentation in a timely manner, including intake forms, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
Ensure that all clinical notes are completed and locked within 72 hours of the session.
Submit reports to external agencies (e.g., DCF, probation, family services) as needed, with appropriate client consent.
Participate in agency-wide committees and other professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
Valid CT LCSW, LPC, or LMFT license issued by the Department of Public Health (DPH).
