POSITION: Marketing Coordinator STATUS: Full-time / Non-exempt / Hybrid REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing FACILITIES: Bayfront Convention Center with an additional focus on Bayfront Landing and Liberty Park

HOURLY RANGE: $21.63 - $28.84 w/ Comprehensive benefit package

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing Coordinator will assist the Director of Marketing in creating content strategies to grow Erie Events footprint and digital platforms. This role will primarily focus on the Bayfront Convention Center, Bayfront Landing, and Liberty Park.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Advertising or related field.

• 3-5+ years' experience in digital marketing.

• Self-motivated and possess strong attention to detail.

• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.

• Experience meeting deadlines and managing projects.

• Excellent oral & written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience managing multiple social media platforms and graphic design.

• Working Knowledge of digital platforms: Hootsuite, Silver Stripe or WordPress, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Mail Chimp or Constant Contact, Bright Sign.

• Ability to work flexible hours, inclusive of nights and weekends, in addition to normal business hours.

EXPEREINCE PREFERRED:

• Experience in events, tradeshows, convention centers or outdoor venues.

• Experience with photography and videography.

• Experience with graphic design using Adobe Creative Suite.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• He/she will provide all event related marketing support to Bayfront Convention Center produced events, including the Erie Home Show, the Outdoor/RV Show, Erie Comicon, Craft Shows, etc.

• He/she will provide all event related marketing support to events at Liberty Park, including 8 Great Tuesdays and any additional Bayfront Landing events.

• Assist in developing digital marketing strategies to grow the Bayfront Convention Center & Bayfront Landing across all digital platforms.

• Assist with email marketing strategies to increase awareness and drive ticket sales to target audiences.

• Build email templates for quarterly newsletters, promotions, event schedules, announcements, etc.

• Develop and manage the content calendar for social media channels and email marketing as it relates to the Bayfront Convention Center, Bayfront Landing & Liberty Park.

• Design social media graphics, marketing collateral, and videos for Bayfront Convention Center, Bayfront Landing, & Liberty Park.

• Track & report monthly digital analytics as it relates to Bayfront Convention Center, Bayfront Landing, and Liberty Park. (e.g. social media platforms, email marketing, Google Analytics)

• Update Bayfront Convention Center & Bayfront Landing website on an as-need basis including specialty pages, announcing events, etc.

• He/she is responsible for capturing engaging content of events. (e.g. photography, videography, editing photos, and creating videos to share on social media platforms)

• Serve as the on-site marketing representative for the Bayfront Convention Center, Bayfront Landing, and Liberty Park designated events (e.g. media escorting, sponsor and/or promotional partner implementation, media partner implementation, content capture, etc.)

• Assists Director of Marketing with third party vendors as it relates to Bayfront Convention Center, Bayfront Landing, & Liberty Park.

• Collaboration with cross-functional departments and vendors (e.g. Marketing, Sales Team(s), Tradeshow & Project Coordinator(s) Bayfront Landing tenants).

• Maintains a harmonious working relationship with all other Erie Events departments.

• Assist with other duties as needed.
