Job Type: Temporary (Estimated 3-month duration for Open Enrollment)
Location: Fully Remote
Schedule:
Training: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM ET (first 4 weeks).
Regular Shift: 8:30 AM-5:00 PM in your local time zone.
Note: Time-off requests cannot be approved before January 31st. Missing time during this period may result in early termination of the assignment.
About the Role
We're seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Member Services Representative to join our team. In this role, you'll serve as the first point of contact for members, providing accurate and timely information about dental benefits, eligibility, claims, and other inquiries. This position is critical in ensuring our customers feel supported and valued throughout their experience.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat, delivering exceptional service.
Assist with billing questions, policy changes, and account updates.
Answer 80+ calls per day, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
Document customer interactions thoroughly in the host system.
Handle inquiries related to:
Dental benefits and eligibility
Provider information
Claims, pre-estimates, and pre-authorizations
Grievances, appeals, and fulfillment requests
Escalate complex issues to appropriate supervisors when necessary.
Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Maintain a quality score of 95% or greater on all performance metrics.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in a call center environment.
At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare administrative role (e.g., dental/medical office front desk).
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Excellent listening skills to effectively address customer concerns.
Outstanding customer service skills with a professional and empathetic approach.
Familiarity with dental terminology and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
Bilingual proficiency is preferred.
Schedule and Time-Off Policy
Breaks and lunches are pre-scheduled:
30-minute lunch.
Two 15-minute breaks (one before and one after lunch).
Time-off requests will only be considered after January 31st.
