Job Summary:

ABC News Live is looking for a Producer that will primarily assist in the control room of the daily broadcast! We are a fast-paced environment and looking for an experienced control room producer!

Responsibilities:

• Work in tandem with Senior Producer and Executive Producer to oversee pre-tapes from control room for anchor readers, interviews with notable guests (lawmakers, political candidates, analysts, actors, musicians and more stakeholders connected to big story of the day
• Scripting interviews, accompanying banners, teases etc.

Required Qualifications:

• 4 plus years of experience with a proven track record at well-regarded network, production company, or equivalent.
• Extensive control room experience and excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A willingness to work different shifts, as needed, and thrive under daily deadline pressures, pen to working long hours, weekends.
• Communication skills (written and verbal) – ability to effectively communicate and interact with people at various levels and in various disciplines of business and production.
• Entrepreneurial, strong self-starting approach to work.
• Working knowledge of inews, scripting and creation of banners etc.
• Working knowledge of Avid editing systems or equivalent.
• Experience with breaking news and day of news content.
• Must feel comfortable crashing, and enjoy fast-paced breaking environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Driver's license preferred.

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $102,000 to $136,700 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
