Summary of This Role

The Sales Engineer will assist our School Solutions' Payment Sales Team by expanding growth in the K12 market. He or she is required to be knowledgeable in a range of our products, notably the MySchoolBucks.com payments platform, third party integrations, and our hardware offerings. The SE is also responsible for supporting Sales, performing webinars, product demonstrations, consulting with prospects and existing customers, and matching their needs with our existing K12 product solutions.

He or she may also assist with lead generation at trade conferences and other company sponsored events. The SE will be a conduit of feedback from the prospects and customers back to the business development and product management organizations. The SE must be highly proficient in critical thinking, communication, and presentation skills. Additional job responsibilities include:

Sales

  • Work with Sales to discover integration needs/requirements based on resources and objectives
  • Present MySchoolBucks to prospects & existing customers and educate them on the benefits and integration requirements of the platform
  • Support targeted market and lead generation campaigns
  • Perform webinars and product demonstrations both virtually and in-person (when necessary)
  • Consult with internal stakeholders and help set expectations as it relates to MySchoolBucks, particularly for new deals signed and expansion opportunities

Service

  • Provide feedback to school districts regarding best practices for MySchoolBucks and system configuration
  • Evaluate school districts' specific needs/goals in regards to online payments, card present payments, third party integrations and advise on recommended solutions
  • Create processes / workflows that provide an escalation path for non-typical requests
  • Act as a liaison between sales and the product management/development teams
  • Provide functional guidance for new development based on customer needs, industry standards, and emerging industry technologies
  • Provide feedback on existing product functionality – what works, what could be improved, where there are bugs

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Relevant Experience in Software, Client Support, Technology & Sales


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or Finance
  • 3 - 5+ years relevant experience in Software Sales, Sales Engineering and/or Client Support
  • Experience working in the payments industry, preferably ecommerce and/or mobile

What Are Our Desired Skills and Capabilities?

  • Communication of Technical Concepts - must be able to articulate value propositions and product positioning to both business and technical users
  • Proficiency in K12 payment solutions to drive positive customer / employee behaviors
  • Familiarity with third party integration capabilities that utilize API and/or flat-file data exchange,
  • Must be analytical, organized, and able to identify and eliminate sales obstacles to close new business.
  • Well organized, with attention to detail and able to multitask
  • Supervision - acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.

The US base salary for this full-time position is $85,000 + Bonus + Benefits. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training
