The Role

As a Solar Electrical Engineer PE, you will play a critical role in the planning, design, and implementation of solar energy projects. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, creativity, and a commitment to renewable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Designing photovoltaic (PV) systems, including system layout, electrical diagrams, and component specification.
• Performing electrical load calculations and energy yield analysis.
• Ensuring projects comply with industry standards, codes, and safety practices.
• Collaborating with project managers, other engineers, and clients to deliver effective solar energy solutions.
• Staying abreast of technological advancements and regulatory changes in the solar energy sector.

Who We're Looking For:

We are seeking a candidate who is:

• Experienced in solar energy systems design and implementation.
• A licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a strong electrical engineering background.
• Skilled in using PV simulation software and AutoCAD.
• Knowledgeable about current solar technologies and electrical codes.
• Proactive, with excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
• Effective in communication, able to work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license for New Jersey is required.
• Proven experience in solar photovoltaic systems design and installation.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools including PVsyst, AutoCAD, and electrical simulation software.
• An understanding of national and local electrical codes.
• The right to work in the US.
