Salary: 87,100 - 157,450 USD per year Requirements:

• TS SCI with polygraph is required.
• A candidate must possess 16 years of experience, which can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 8 years, Master’s and 10 years, Bachelor’s and 12 years, Associate’s and 14 years, or a high school diploma and 16 years. Additionally, compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 is necessary.
• I need someone who can process and analyze information and trouble calls submitted by customers (e.g., system administrator, developer, security specialist), make determinations, provide, and implement solutions.
• The ideal candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision to perform complex technical tasks.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in network routing and router/switches are essential.
• Experience in the build and operation and maintenance (O&M) of Linux RHEL systems, MS Windows Server systems, virtual environments (including virtual servers and virtual routers), and Oracle Servers is required.
• Familiarity with multiple Network Management applications is a must, as well as experience with VCenter, VM templates, ESXi hosts, and hardware O&M.
• Understanding of DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) information security requirements, standards, and best practices, along with DIACP compliance with Retina, DISA STIG, and IAVA patch management is necessary.
• The candidate should be able to perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond effectively to emergencies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required.
• Ability to enhance system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, along with conducting system administrator training and skills assessments is desired.
• The individual will need to conduct capacity and performance analysis and provide system configuration change and upgrade recommendations.
• Understanding of computer user needs, system capabilities, programming techniques, and controls is important.
• I expect the candidate to manage the daily activities related to the configuration and operation of systems while performing system capacity analysis and planning.

Responsibilities:

• Excellent writing skills are required for preparing documentation and other technical deliverables.
• Ability to troubleshoot Cisco and Juniper switches and routers is a must.
• I will need you to use MicroFocus/OpenText and HP Network Monitoring tools.
• Organize and direct the configuration and operation of information management systems.
• Provide day-to-day system administration, including system and resource optimization and user assistance.
• Maintain servers, create, and review monitoring reports and logs.
• Perform daily system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, and key processes, review system and application logs, and verify the completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Provide hands-on guidance and training to more junior staff members.
• Apply OS patches for RHEL and Windows servers as needed.
• Configure and add new services as required.
• Conduct ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as necessary.
• Handle CPU configuration, memory, and disk partitions as required.
• Perform regular security monitoring to identify vulnerabilities and possible intrusions.
• Set up and manage frequent backup operations, ensuring successful backups of all required file systems and system data to appropriate media, and create recovery tapes or disks while performing regular file archive and purge as necessary.

The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos is excited to offer an opportunity for a Sr. System Administrator to provide technical support for a system test and integration lab, as well as a production environment. In this role, I will expect you to provide hands-on support for the IT infrastructure and technical assistance as needed for on-site administrators supporting the other two environments.

The pay range for this position is approximately $87,100.00 to $157,450.00. Please note that this range serves as a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
