Your Role: Medical Director & Clinical Leader
This unique opportunity combines the strategic influence of a Medical Director with the hands-on impact of direct patient care. You'll play a vital role in enhancing the quality of care within skilled nursing facilities, serving as a key resource and clinical leader.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical Director Services (8 hours/month):
Provide expert medical and procedural consultation to residents, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
Collaborate with facility administrators to identify opportunities for improving resident care programs, medical equipment, and staffing.
Serve as a trusted advisor, offering insights and guidance to enhance the facility's scope of services.
Clinical Leadership & Support:
Be available 24/7 for emergency consultations, providing critical support to facility staff.
Actively participate in monthly Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) meetings, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate in the development of clinical pathways designed to optimize resident care.
Support facility marketing efforts as requested, sharing your expertise and passion for quality care.
Assist the facility in working with its other attending physicians to assure the highest quality of care to the residents and patients.
Direct Patient Care:
Provide professional services to residents of the skilled nursing facilities, as needed.
Conduct on-site visits to facilities at least twice per month, fostering strong relationships and providing direct clinical support. (Facilities are located in Wellsville, New York.)
Provide telehealth services as needed.
