Job Description

Vannin Chief of Staff has been retained by a global leader in asset finance technology with approximately 1,000 employees worldwide, including a significant presence in India. With over 20 years of excellence, our client is currently private equity-backed and welcomed a new CEO in 2023 to lead the company’s transformation, ensuring long-term value creation while maintaining the company's strong, collaborative culture.

Chief of Staff Role

Our client is seeking a highly strategic and operationally minded VP-level Chief of Staff to serve as a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. The Chief of Staff will act as a force multiplier for the CEO, driving execution on strategic initiatives, optimizing executive operations, and ensuring accountability across the company. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with deep consulting experience, strong financial acumen, and a high degree of emotional intelligence. They must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment, managing ambiguity, and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

This is a full-time , exempt position based within a two-hour travel radius to NYC or Philadelphia. While primarily remote, the role requires regular domestic (1-3x per month to NYC and/or Philadelphia) and international travel (~4x per year to India and travel to Europe as needed).

Responsibilities

Executive Team Leadership & Company Strategy

  • Serve as the CEO’s trusted advisor, supporting day-to-day operational management and execution of strategic priorities.
  • Partner with the executive team to drive the prioritization and execution of key initiatives.
  • Own the operating rhythm of the company, ensuring high-impact meetings, clear decision-making processes, and alignment on priorities.
  • Develop and oversee company-wide OKRs, ensuring alignment across corporate, client, and employee initiatives.
  • Drive global cultural change, ensuring the company establishes norms and processes that enable scalable growth.
  • Represent the CEO in cross-functional initiatives and act as a trusted liaison between the executive team and broader organizational stakeholders.

Operational Excellence & Business Cadence

  • Drive key leadership meetings and offsites, ensuring effective agenda setting, streamlined content creation, and actionable follow-ups.
  • Oversee board meeting preparation, ensuring streamlined reporting and alignment with executive priorities.
  • Own and continuously improve the company's execution frameworks, including OKRs, strategic planning, and performance tracking.
  • Proactively identify areas for operational enhancement and design innovative solutions to optimize efficiency and performance.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a bridge between the CEO and key stakeholders, ensuring clarity, transparency, alignment.
  • Support cultural initiatives that drive employee engagement and alignment with the company's long-term vision.

Recommended Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience with a significant portion spent in management consulting or strategic operations in global organizations.
  • Proven experience in a Chief of Staff or business operations leadership role with increasing responsibility and scope.
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to contextualize company goals and priorities.
  • High EQ, strong executive presence, and the gravitas to build alignment among diverse stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Experience managing and working within distributed, global teams, ideally with experience across EMEA and India.
  • Exceptional project and change management expertise, with the ability to drive business transformation and execute against complex strategic initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and Trello (or similar tools).

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  • Experience with private equity-backed companies.
  • Familiarity with operational methodologies such as OKRs, EOS, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong, strategic mindset with the ability to proactively manage the CEO and organization.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and navigate ambiguity with ease.
  • Ability to travel internationally, including 4x to India and occasional trips to the UK and Europe.

Compensation Range : DOE $200-250K USD annual salary + bonus and equity

  5. Client Interview #4: In-person case study + lunch/dinner with CEO (half-day).
