Job Title: Dispatcher Job Description We are seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently dispatching drivers, handling the cashiering process, performing data entry, and uploading reports into Excel. This role requires excellent communication skills, both via email and phone, as well as a strong back ground in dispatching within the logistics industry. The candidate will work Monday through Friday, from 4:00 pm to 3:00 am. Responsibilities Dispatch drivers in 4 minutes or less. Handle the cashiering process by taking tickets from drivers and uploading them into the company system. Perform heavy data entry and upload reports into Excel. Communicate and dispatch truckers to the port and four other locations. Correspond with clients via email frequently, maintaining excellent email etiquette. Maintain good phone etiquette while communicating with customers. Enter port reports into Excel accurately and quickly. Utilize a strong back ground in dispatching, customer service, and Excel within the logistics industry. Essential Skills 3-5 years of recent dispatching experience in the logistics industry. 3+ years of data entry and 10-key experience. 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. 3 years of logistics industry experience. 3+ years of customer service experience, with excellent phone and email etiquette. Direct experience dispatching to ports. Additional Skills & Qualifications Port experience is a plus. Computer experience and understanding of port websites, such as Port of Long Beach and Los Angeles. Work Environment The work environment is fast-paced, within the logistics, trucking, and distribution sectors. The candidate will work Monday through Friday from 4:00 pm to 3:00 am. This role requires effective multitasking and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic setting.
